Travel with Cate goes to Hawai'i!

A first post to Travel with Cate.....and anticipating my first trip with the amazing Un-Cruise Adventures crew aboard the Safari Explorer

The splendor of the Hawaiian islands will be our playground as we prepare for a week of immersion in the culture and wildlife of this amazing part of the world.  Our trip will feature...

  • Night snorkel with Giant Pacific Manta rays
  • Marine life search in the Humpback National Marine Sanctuary
  • Evening pa’ina (feast) and Hawaiian jam session with Moloka’i locals
  • Snorkel among coral gardens and at a sea turtle habitat
  • Visit Moloka’i’s ancient Halawa Valley
  • Discover island history at the Lana’i Culture and Heritage Center
  • Unparalleled snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, and skiff exploration

The term "Un-Cruise" is an apt name.  This is NOT your typical "cruise".  It is a boating experience much more akin to chartering a private yacht, complete with attentive crew (15 aboard this yacht, so a 2/1 passenger/crew ratio), all the water toys at your disposal, a great chef and and a ready supply of fine wines and spirits.  Only 36 passengers will board in Moloka'i to spend 7 nights and 8 days island hopping down the chain to end up at the Big Island.  Along the way we will visit Lana'i and Maui.

More to come...so stay tuned!

  3. Cate, would you believe I went backwards--most recent post to this one--instead of the other way around? Leave it to me. I love the background photo looking out the airplane window. Just beautiful.
